What Maintella is, who uses it, and how the admin and field sides fit together.
Maintella connects your service documentation and live asset data to the people who work on equipment in the field — without onboarding every contractor into your internal systems.
Two sides of the product
Maintella splits cleanly into an admin application and a field experience:

Admins configure assets, workflows, integrations, and access from the admin app. Field engineers open a URL on their phone, see the asset, run step-by-step workflows, and submit structured work reports. The app root (/) is the field-engineer home: a list of assets they currently have access to.
Three audiences
Operations staff use the admin app to maintain the asset register, publish workflows, assign work, run reports, and connect external systems.
Field engineers arrive via a magic link (assigned task), a time-bound access key, or a permanent QR sticker. They complete workflows, view shared files, and optionally use AI Chat over your documentation.
Public visitors can reach anonymous user workflows from QR codes — for example feedback or issue reporting — without signing in. Those submissions land in the asset Feedback log, separate from maintenance history.
